Make Sure the BCS Is Running as a Service

If you installed the BCS using the installer, it should be running as a background service. Follow the steps below to verify.

1

Open the Run Command Dialog

Hold down the Windows/Start key and tap the R key.

2

Open the Services Utility

Type services.msc and click OK.

Windows Run dialog box
3

Locate the BCS Service

Scroll down and locate Visualware Application Manager - NetQCheckHTML5Agent.exe.

Windows Services list
4

Verify It Is Running

Check that the service status shows Running. If it is not running, right-click on it and click Start.

Start the BCS service
If the service is running, the BCS should be accessible. Click here to run the connectivity test.
Minimum requirement: macOS 10.14 (Mojave). If you have an earlier version, you can usually upgrade for free. If you are on 10.14 or above and still having issues, continue below.
1

Check Activity Monitor

Two utilities should be running for the BCS to work. The video below shows how to find them.

Open Launchpad and search for Activity Monitor.

In the search bar (top right), search for BCS and then NetQCheckHTML5Agent separately.

If both are found, the BCS is running correctly. If one or both are missing, continue to Step 2.

2

Run NetQCheckHTML5Agent Manually

The video below shows how to launch the agent manually.

Once started, run the connectivity test again. It should now pass.
